CARE AND MAINTENANCE

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

When removing the masking paper, peel it off slowly and in an upward and outward direction.  Use particular care around the drain piece. It is crucial to add caulk around the perimeter of the tub. (Be sure to follow the caulk manufacturers dry times instructions)

Though the surface can be put back into use after two days, your new finish will not be fully cured until 30 days have passed.  During this period: DO NOT TAPE TO THE FINISH.

DO NOT leave soap, bottles, etc… on the finished surface for a prolonged period of time.

Use only non-abrasive, liquid cleaners on your refinished surface. Use spray cleaners such as 409, Fantastic, Windex, CLR Kitchen & Bath Cleaner, Zep Degreaser, Vinegar & Water, or liquid cleaners which do not contain abrasives, and are safe to use on acrylic, refinished or reglazed surfaces. For best results, spray the surface and let it penetrate for 5 - 10 minutes before wiping with a sponge or microfiber washcloth

We DO NOT recommend the use of the so called “Spray-it and Leave-it” Shower sprays, since they cause build up and discoloration. ALWAYS check the cleaners warning labels for use on reglazed tubs.  

  

DO NOT use abrasive cleaners that will scratch the surface. (Comet, Bonami, Ajax, etc.) 

DO NOT use liquid Drain Cleaners, Ex: Draino, Liquid Plumber as these may damage the finish.

DO NOT bath animals (cat and dogs) in the tub as their sharp claws may scratch the finish.  

DO NOT use bathmats with suction cups or install vinyl stickers. (Their use voids the warranty)

DO NOT drop sharp or heavy objects on the finish, which may cause it to chip.

All Plumbing Leaks must be repaired As Soon As Possible. Damage caused by leaking plumbing or water leaking from behind or underneath caulk lines, Damage caused by caulk or lack of or improper caulking is not warranted.

DuraFinish Inc. MUST BE NOTIFIED WITHIN TEN DAYS of the damage, to schedule a repair BEFORE it gets worse. If your coating gets a chip and you fail to call us, it may eventually peel causing us to have to refinish a larger portion of the fixture or possibly the entire fixture at your expense, so please call us at the first sign of damage.

AGAINST DEFECTS IN WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS. 3 Years for Residential Tubs and 1 Year for Rental Properties.  

Warranty DOES NOT cover damage caused by leaky plumbing fixtures or from other water damage due to leaks behind walls or caulking.
